KMC8

第八屆(class of 1967)﹐ pronounced Di-Bajie( DeBeGai in Taiwanese) sounds like 豬八戒, Jhu-Bajie (DiBakGai in Taiwanese- Pigsy of Eight Restraints) whom in many English versions is one of the three helpers of the Monk﹐Xuanzang (玄奘), in the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West(629-646 A.D.). Thus our class nickname! (The most exciting pictures albums become bulky, and is moved to end of this page. Please do not miss it !)

心理學家 林毅夫的新書: 鴨母王

I recommended the book  to our classmates. Yet I can not copy and paste GeFoo's book preface into our blog as I promised Hou PenWen to do so unless I retype the whole article. My apology. You should be able to see the details from GeFoo's original letter or from the attachments I just forward to you.

From Dr. Ih-Foo Lin:
Dear Friend:
Recently I have published a book鴨母王, attached is the preface of the book for your perusal. If you are interested in the psychological meaning of folklore in general and of a Taiwanese folklore in particular, then this book definitely is for you, it deals with self discovery and transcendence of Taiwanese. If you find the analysis in the book pertinent, you may want to encourage your relatives or friends in Taiwan to purchase it directly from前衛出版社.
$10 for the book and $4 for postage and packaging, it comes to a total cost $14.
Please make a check payable to:
Ih Foo Lin, M.D.
1803 N Concord Circle
Port Clinton, OH 43452
Thank you very much for your consideration.
Ih Foo Lin, MD (林毅夫)
